On December 30th, 1997, Jordan broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's NBA record, by scoring in double-digits for the 788th consecutive game. That season, Jordan also led the Bulls to their sixth NBA Championship title. The Air Jordan Retro XIII basketball shoe has an full-grain quilted leather upper with suede trim and unique hidden lacing system. Features a low-profile Pylon midsole with heel and forefoot Zoom Air units and a midfoot carbon fiber composite plate. The outsole is solid rubber with herringbone pods and Optimal Motion pattern. The Retro 13's featured the signature hologram on the ankle and the design was said to be inspired by a panther (reflective eye), since the outsole pads resemble a paw and circles represent whiskers.
