Fine antique small double condiment server.
Made from chromed metal with pottery inserts and early plastic handles.
Metal seems to be steel but I can't determine for certain.
Hammered look but not certain if hammered or otherwise.
Unmarked except for the # 3708 impressed on bottom of both pottery inserts. Those impressed numbers point to this being European, German, Austrian or thereabouts.
I'd guess dates to circa 1920s.
Measures 5 1/4" high, about 6 1/2" long and a bit over 3" wide.
Been well kept and is in good antique condition. Metal has a small bit of wear if one looks very closely. The pottery inserts are free of chips or cracks and have just a few craze lines.
Don't know if it came originally with spoons out of the little openings in the hinged covers.
Fantastic arts & crafts style design in this early 20th century period rare server.
Questions always welcome and thanks for looking.
