  • Dark Pink to Red
  • Medium Pink
  • Light Pink (light pink to very light pink shades)
  • Peach (various shades - see pictures)
Colour Notes:
  • Rubellite is Pink variety of Tourmaline.
  • From light to dark pink all shades of Rubellite are equally demanded.
  • However, dark pink is more expensive because of less availability
  • Differences in shades are more obvious in light coloured Tourmaline gems
  • Peach is a rare colour and exhibits many shades due to mixing of Golden and Pink Colour
  • Dark Peach is very rare and is similar to Dark Pink in intensity of colour.
  • These are strong Dichroic/Pleochroic gems, meaning 2 or more colours are seen at different angles.
  • It is hard to distinguish the gem colours. Many different coloured stones need to be placed side by side in homogeneous light to separate gems of different colours and shades.
  • Hard work of separation has already been done for you.
