Did the original mirror glass fall away from the back-plate? This Is A VERY Common Issue!
Our Hand-Cut And Hand Finished Mirror Glass Is Designed To Be Affixed To The EXISTING Back-Plate.

Our Mirror Is NOT Chamfered, Instead We Use Silver 3mm Chrome Anti-Dazzle Mirror Glass Which Comes Supplied With Our Outstanding Full Size Adhesive Backing.
The reason for the failure is due to the painted layer on the back side of the mirror glass de-laminating, the grey/black flaking material is what?s left of the painted surface from the glass.
The interior mirror we produce in house is FLAT 3mm anti dazzle glass, identical in size, shape and tolerance to the original, our replacement is not wedged like the original, meaning the dip function for the night driving will not work as it did, however most owners do not tend to use this.
The new mirror is designed to be affixed to the existing back plate using the supplied full-size adhesive backing.

FITTING
You MUST remove the flaking paint (Do not sand!) our adhesive works best on smooth surfaces, once free of flaking material thoroughly clean the back-plate using methylated spirits, DO NOT remove the previous adhesive, only the flaking paint where flaking. Once clean pre-warm the adhesive on the back of the new glass with a hairdryer, it will also be of use to pre-warm the back-plate also, if possible.
Once warmed you are ready to apply, our adhesive is a contact adhesive meaning once it touches the plate it will lock, take your time, centrally align the mirror to the profile of the back plate and gently press into place, great force is not required, once affixed gently squeeze the mirror all the way around to ensure a good bond.

We are a family run business with over 50 years combined experience in the automotive glass industry. All of our items are produced right here in the U.K. in the South Coast of England. We can supply any mirror in any size from flat glass to deep convex as-well as blue anti-dazzle glass and aspheric wide angle. Our raw material is industry tested and conforms to EU regulations.

Shipping

We always post 1st class the same day if ordered before 16:30pm Monday-Friday across all of our items (Please note this excludes Bank Holidays) so if you place your order on Friday it will be dispatched on Monday. We use Royal Mail for smaller items and couriers for certain larger items, please see individual listings for further details. Estimated delivery times are approximate. If an item's delivery has been delayed beyond the expected delivery date please contact us and we will do our best to give you an updated delivery estimate. Where we use Royal Mail Special Delivery 1pm as a next day delivery option which is available on the checkout screen please note that delivery using this method may take longer to certain remote post codes. Returns

Unwanted or incorrectly ordered items can be returned to us up to 30 days after the day you received them. Items must be in their original packaging and in a resalable condition. Original postage costs will not be refunded and the buyer is responsible for return postage costs. If you wish to return an item please contact us via the eBay messaging system for information. If returning an item please enclose a copy of the original invoice, or your eBay username/address so that we know who has returned it. If WE have incorrectly supplied a part please contact us using eBay messaging along with a photo of the item you have received, we will pay for return shipping and shipping on a replacement item, or offer a full refund including shipping costs depending on your preference.
