Crown N Mark Porcelain Figure, Man with Goose

The well-known and often misattributed "crown N" mark was used by many companies, probably more of them German porcelain than Italian porcelain as better attributions become known.  German porcelain maker Ernst Bohne and Son seems the most likely for this one, but it's by no means certain.  20th century seems certain, but anything beyond that is less certain.
Regardless of time and maker, the work is finely modeled and finely made.  It features a man clearly down on his luck based on his clothing with a goose tucked under his coat.  I'd tend to assume that he's not just being nice to the goose.....

Height is about 6 1/2".

Condition is excellent with no chips, no cracks, and no repairs.   The hat, goose's neck, and the walking stick are all undamaged, which is a bit surprising, happily so.  Our guarantee is simple.  If you don't like it when you open the box, send it back, and we'll refund your purchase price plus original shipping.  You pay return shipping.  If we messed up in the description in some significant way, then we pay return shipping as well.

We've been shifted now to eBay's managed payment system, so we're pretty much stuck in that regard.

If you have any questions, just get in touch.  I can answer any question.....as long as you keep in mind that "I don't know" is an answer.   We pack with plenty of bubble wrap and peanuts and offer a choice between Priority Mail and Retail Ground (both USPS).  The outer box will feature a pvc frame to make it especially sturdy.  My joints may not be so flexible anymore, but our service can still bend to suit your needs....with some limits, of course.

This Is Us: What's "Gin-For"?  Strictly medicinal purposes.  It also stands for Ginny and Forrest, and Odditiques is oddities and antiques.  I wanted top billing, but For-Gin didn't seem quite right in the antiques game.  Hope you've enjoyed seeing the item and maybe got a chuckle, too.  No extra charge for chuckles, giggles, or smiles. (The photo with Berlioz is essentially our logo, and Lancelot's mug is for perspective only. Cats and batteries not included, although a search will find the cats on their own pages as well as finding more Gin-For's Odditiques.)
