Pair of Late 18th to Early 19th Century Boxed Coin Scales

c. Late 18th to Early 19th Century, Pair of Wooden Boxed Coin Scales, Fine.

This Pair of Coin scales are housed in seperate wood boxes, neither is a complete set. Each box measures about 7.75" wide x 3.75" deep x 1.25" high. One box has two compartments lined in green baize holding graduating weights and the lid is held down on top by 2 brass swing hooks. The other has a single interior compartment to hold the weights, lined in blue velvet, and the lid is secured by 1 swing hook with latch in the front of the box. Both have some weights with others lacking. (2 scales)
