This Onkyo ES-600PRO AV Surround Processor is for interconnecting with your existing two-

channel stereo system, and provides an additional center channel as well as rear channels in

order to achieve surround sound. This unit actively decodes a two-channel stereo system to

produce sound that is remarkably similar to what you’d hear in a movie theater. You can

independently control the center channel as well as rear channels. The center channel is not

just a combination of the left and right signals -- the ES-600PRO uses logic steering circuitry to

increase separation for pinpoint directionality, image stability, and enhanced overall sound

quality. With four surround modes, namely Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby 3 Stereo, Hall Surround, and

Stadium modes, this unit allows you to choose the mode that best matches the program

material. You can also adjust the time delay for the rear speakers to tailor the perceived room

size to the program material; the longer the delay, the larger the apparent acoustical size of the

listening room. The robust ES-600PRO has three built-in high-power amplifiers to complement

your existing two-channel system: Center 50 Watts, Rear 2 x 20 Watts. The unit includes

connections for a two-channel stereo amplifier/receiver, graphic equalizer, center speaker, and
