Each bid is for ONE sample of Devonian microconcentrate rich in conodont remains.

The material is all from the New Albany Shale of Indiana and is upper Devonian in age.

The images show a typical sample spread out in a 2x2 inch plastic sorting tray. We have looked at a typical sample and have counted over 100 conodonts in the sample. The auction comes with a colour ID card as shown so you can identify many of the specimens found. The sample is housed in a gel capsule that is about the size of a vitamin tablet.

The images show some of the fossils we have picked from similar samples. Species discovered in the material include Hibarella, Polygnathus, Hindeodella and Icriodus. We cannot guarantee what species will be in any sample, but every sample does have dozens of conodont teeth.
