28 ANTIQUE EBONY DOUBLE SIX DOMINOES with BRASS SPINNER STUDS
This Antique Set of 28 Ebony Dominoes with the Brass Spinner Studs has no marks or labels and is missing its original wood box, but otherwise is complete and in good Antique Condition. These Bone and Ebony sets were 1st introduced in Europe in the 18th Century and through the 19th and early 20th Centuries. They are 1 1/2” long by 3/4” wide by 3/8” thick - twice as long as they are wide known as double-squares. The black holes were made by drilling holes into the bone and inserting Ebony pieces inside, and the edges are well squared allowing for the tiles to stand up on their edges if needed, and the brass studs in the center are slightly raised on the top side allowing for the tiles to spin freely when on the table upside down. Your payment is due within 7 days unless previous arrangements have been made - I send an email invoice separate from what ebay sends you, shortly after your purchase is made that includes your total due and with my shipping schedule for the week. Your item will be mailed to you through USPS usually within 3-5 business days once your cleared payment has been received, sometimes sooner depending on my schedule that week. I charge a minimum handling fee on all my items and I add the cost of insurance in my handling fee for any item selling for more than $30.00 or that is considered Fragile.
