Beautiful vintage late 50's to early 60's formal black silk evening dress

Black dress by Smart Miss, zippered back, horizontal creases on

bodice, ruffles on skirt, shoulder straps.

Bust-  Approximately 15 1/2 inches across

Waist-  Approximately 12 1/2 inches across

Length, shoulder strap to bottom- 49 inches 

Below Calf 

Condition: Good condition for its age- very small tear in back, and minor stain in front

Description: The dramatic well   below  calf length skirt is created from multi full tiers of black taffeta. This taffeta tiered would make the perfect tango dancing dress.. 

When we think of tango, images of an elegant dress, legs entwining and roses flash through our minds. for the well-known dance of passion .

The bodice has shapely folds (a bust enhancing affair) then flared out in many tiers. A gorgeous Marilyn Monroe style  dress great for dancing. The glamourous taffeta fabric has a shimmer to it-absolutely stunning   The design and the lovely waist emphasizes the fit 'n flare silhouette.  

The fabric is light and has  great ruffles all the way around.

It has a pretty neck-line, that has multi-  folds crossing bodice.

Vivacious, interesting    and sexy.
