The
Berlin Wall:
It was a symbol of the Cold War and the division of Germany. The Berlin Wall was
built in the early 1960s to stop the flow of refugees from the east to the
west. Today the Berlin Wall stands for the people's will for freedom. The fall
of the wall on 09. November 1989 marked the end of the Iron Curtain era and at
the same time the end of the communist system in Eastern Europe. The
reunification of Germany was made possible and the division of Europe ended.
Production in the Berlin factory today:
Since 1990, the Berlin manufactory in the north of Berlin has processed Berlin
Wall segments into unique pieces. The production is divided into many
individual work steps. The wall fragments are chopped up by hand, brought to
the right size and then put in or out. glued to the acrylic. The paint on the
parts of the wall is usually applied afterwards, as most parts of the wall are
only colorless over the years. We are a reliable supplier to many recognized
institutions and German authorities.
