This listing is for a RARE vintage Jim Beam Bourbon advertising tin or metal ashtray. It is red and white and features a red image of a Jim Beam bottle at the bottom. The ashtray has been used but the graphics are strong for their age. There are some superficial scratches around the edges but it is a nice diaplayble piece. It measures 4 1/2" across. This is a nice piece of vintage advertising and would make a great addition to a whiskey or ashtray collection. Please check out my other listings. Combined shipping available. Please email any questions. $5.00 shipping to the lower 48 states. The successful bidder shall submit payment within five (5) days of the date of purchase and I ship within four (4) days of the date of payment.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING: PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND VIEW ALL
PICTURES CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING OR PURCHASING. I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON THE
ITEMS THAT I SELL. DO NOT ASSUME THAT SOMETHING IS INCLUDED WITH THE ITEM THAT
IS NOT SHOWN IN THE PICTURES. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. IF YOU DO
NOT SEE SOMETHING IN THE PICTURES, IT IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE ITEM. I DO MY
BEST TO ACCURATELY DESCRIBE THE ITEM BUT MIGHT MISS SOMETHING. THAT IS THE
REASON WHY I TAKE A LOT OF PICTURES OF THE ITEM. IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC
QUESTIONS REGARDING THE ITEM, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE THROUGH EBAY PRIOR TO
BIDDING OR PURCHASING. IF YOU PLAN ON MAKING AN OFFER ON AN ITEM WITH A
"BUY IT NOW OR MAKE AN OFFER" OPTION, PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE
LAST MINUTE OR HOUR TO DO SO. I RARELY CATCH THESE IN TIME. PLEASE SUBMIT AN
OFFER WELL IN ADVANCE OF THE LISTING'S ENDING.
Please note that the shipping price
listed is to the lower 48 states ONLY. I will gladly ship internationally and
utilize eBay’s Global Shipping Program, where applicable. If this program is
not available in your country, please be advised that I do not box my items up
beforehand and may not be able to give you an exact shipping quote until
the listing ends. SHIPPING TO OTHER COUNTRIES MAY BE VERY EXPENSIVE!!! Shipping
rates continue to climb and those to the west coast, Alaska, and Hawaii can be
pricey. I don’t have any control over this. After selling an item, I may decide
to use a larger box or more supplies so that your item arrives safely. I
normally absorb these costs and, in some cases, pay a few dollars more than
what the buyer paid for shipping. Please keep all of this in mind when leaving
feedback. I strive to be honest and fair in my listings and do not mislead
anyone. I leave positive feedback upon payment. Please do the same upon receipt
of your purchase. This lets me know that you have received your item and are
satisfied with it.
IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH AN ITEM
UPON RECEIPT, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE DIRECTLY THROUGH EBAY BEFORE OPENING A
DISPUTE CASE. FUNDS ARE HELD AND IT CREATES MORE
OF AN UNNECESSARY HASSLE FOR BOTH THE BUYER AND SELLER. UNLESS STATED
OTHERWISE (I.E. ALL SALES FINAL ON AN ITEM), I ALLOW RETURNS WITHIN 30 DAYS OF
RECEIPT IF A BUYER IS NOT SATISFIED WITH AN ITEM. HOWEVER, THE ITEM MUST BE
RETURNED TO ME, AND RECEIVED BY ME, IN
THE SAME CONDITION THAT IT WAS SENT BEFORE A REFUND WILL BE ISSUED. THE BUYER
IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL RETURN SHIPPING COSTS. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! There have
been a couple of instances where a buyer has purchased an item that did not
meet their expectations. The buyer failed to read the description and/or view
pictures prior to purchasing and then accused me of misrepresenting the item.
The buyer then demanded that I pay for return shipping because they failed to
read the description and/or view pictures. As mentioned above, I am not an
expert on the items that I sell. Any defects that I notice will be mentioned in
the description. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR A BUYER’S FAILURE TO READ THE
DESCRIPTION AND/OR VIEW PICTURES. Again, unless the listing states
otherwise, I will accept a return of the item within 30 days of receipt but return
shipping is ALWAYS the responsibility of the buyer.
If the item is damaged during
shipping, please send me a message through eBay ASAP. I require photographic
proof of the damage and I will initiate a damaged claim through the shipper. Shipping
companies require the recipient to retain the damaged item and ALL
packing materials for examination and/or pickup. If the item is able to be
repaired, most companies will offer a partial refund. If the item is a total
loss, the item and all packing materials will need to be retained for possible
examination and pickup before a refund will be issued. The company will let me
know if the item will be picked up.
If you are one of those eBay members
who has nothing better to do than to send rude, insulting, or accusatory
messages, please do us both a favor and find more productive ways of spending
your time. As I have mentioned above, I am not an expert on the items that I
sell. I have had many "experts" contact me with additional
information on items that I am selling. Many of these individuals are very nice
and I appreciate their information. However, I have also had some members (with
a complex) message me who are just downright rude and try to bully other
members by throwing insults and unjust accusations. These individuals seem
unhappy in their lives and seem to find some personal satisfaction by bullying
in the online world. These individuals can clearly dish it out but they can't
take it. We are all adults (for the most part) and please act as such. Please
do not take out your personal anger and frustration on other members. Please
exercise proper online etiquette and treat other members with respect. Bad
attitudes, rudeness, insults, and unjust accusations do not accomplish
anything.
PAYPAL AND EBAY FEES (aka eBay 101): For those eBay users who have never sold items on
eBay, please be advised that there are fees involved in this process. Depending
on the listing category and whether eBay has a special promotion available at
the time, there is a listing fee to list an item on eBay. eBay charges this fee
to the seller immediately when the item is listed. When an item is sold, eBay
charges a 10% selling fee on the sale price and shipping cost
of the item. For example, if an item sells for $50.00 + $5.00 shipping, the
selling fee is $5.50. eBay charges this fee to the seller immediately when the
listing ends. In addition, when a buyer sends a PayPal payment to pay for the
item, PayPal deducts a 3% processing fee from the total amount
that is sent by the buyer and received by the seller. In short, there is a 13% final
value fee to sell an item on eBay. I mention this because some buyers do not
understand that a seller does not receive the full amount that is sent. Some
buyers complain about shipping costs and paying a couple of dollars over the
actual shipping cost. They fail to realize that after fees, packing supplies,
gas, and time to go to the post office and/or stand in line at the post office,
most sellers actually lose money.
As mentioned above, eBay charges the
selling fee to the seller immediately when a listing ends. If a buyer does not
follow through with payment, the only way that a seller can reverse this fee is
to file a “Non-Paying Bidder Alert” in eBay’s Unpaid Item
Assistant. Sellers do not open these for fun and would rarely have to open
one at all if buyers would simply COMMUNICATE. This just adds unnecessary
extra time and work. Please follow through with all purchases and keep an open
line of communication by making sellers aware of any payment delays. I SHIP
WITHIN FOUR (4) DAYS OF PAYMENT. I mention this because I have had a
couple of bidders ask where their items were 2 days after making
payment. I ALSO REQUEST THAT PAYMENT BE MADE WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS FROM
THE DATE OF PURCHASE. If you need more time, I understand. However,
please send me a message through eBay and let me know your intentions. If
no contact has been made after the fifth day, I assume that you do not wish to
follow through with the transaction and a Non-Paying Bidder Alert will be filed
through eBay. The buyer will be given four (4) additional days to pay for the
item. If no contact or payment is received after this time, I will close out
the unpaid item case with eBay. The buyer will receive a strike against his/her
account. Repeated strikes will result in a suspension/termination from eBay. In
addition, I will block the buyer from submitting offers on, bidding on, or purchasing
any of my listings.
One Final Note: PayPal transactions involving a PayPal balance, credit/debit card, or PayPal Credit as the funding source are processed immediately. If a buyer has insufficient funds from the payment source to process the transaction, PayPal will prompt for another source of payment. Electronic withdrawals from a checking account (i.e. eChecks) take 3-5 days to process. Neither PayPal nor the seller knows if there are sufficient funds in the account to process the transaction until after the 3-5 day time period. Per PayPal regulations, IF A BUYER USES AN ELECTRONIC WITHDRAWAL FROM A CHECKING ACCOUNT (I.E. ECHECK) AS THE FUNDING SOURCE TO PAY FOR AN ITEM, THE ITEM WILL NOT BE SHIPPED UNTIL THE PAYMENT HAS CLEARED (WHICH IS 3-5 DAYS). NO EXCEPTIONS!!! If you need an item sooner, please use a PayPal balance, credit/debit card, or PayPal Credit as the funding source for your payment. Thank you for your interest and for taking the time to look at my listings.
