Sandalwood amyris essential oil, sometimes called West Indian sandalwood essential oil, is steam distilled from the bark of the West Indian sandalwood tree. West Indian Sandalwood grows mainly in the mountain region of Haiti.
The West Indian sandalwood is harvested by local farmers and is dried for a year before being steam distilled into this beautiful essential oil, which has to be left to mature for a number of months to reach its full potential.
