This is a weird clock for this renowned German clock company, has windows on the side. Most likely a added back at a later date, does not wind. Actual housing is 11 1/4 by 11 1/4 inches give or take a couple tenths. The actual size of the clock is 13  inches and 12 1/2 inches give and take a few tenths
