Aquila Sugar Ukulele strings are made using a recently discovered bio-plastic material derived from sugarcane. The material is very clear and transparent, similar to crystal-glass, with a sound that's brilliant, clean and prompt. They have excellent tone whether you're playing near the bridge or over the sound hole, with excellent sustain and projection. Although the surface is smooth, the grip on the fingers is remarkable.
