hello this vintage mc coy cowboy boot lamp is all original

McCoy is a brand of pottery that was produced in the United States in the early 20th century. It is probably the most collected pottery in the nation. Starting in 1848 by J.W.McCoy Stoneware company, they established the Nelson McCoy Sanitary Stoneware Company in 1910. They continued on almost into 1991, but had to close down due to declining profits.
In 1918, the McCoy family sold their interest in the Brush – McCoy Pottery; however, it was not until late 1925 that the directors of the pottery dropped the McCoy name. The new name of the pottery was the Brush Pottery Co., and it operated under that name until it closed in 1982 - this will only increase the value of Mc Coy products in the future

the mc coy pottery business sold it's manufacturing to japan some years ago so be careful when buying mc  coy pottery - one way to tell if it's original or a Japanese piece is to look at the signature - the original mc coy has the first c in the name mc coy, overlapping the second leg of the m in mc coy the reproduction of the Japanese piece doesn't not do this, also it says USA under the mc  coy name the Japanese manufacturer can not put USA on their piece's - please look at the included pic's in order to see what i'm saying about the true mc  coy signature - this item is in excellent condition there are no crack's nor chip's anywhere on it and I believe the light and cord fixture's are original as well (lamp does work) this item is approx. 10-1/2" H the boots are 6-3/4"H, 4" W and 6"L - i thank you for checking this item out

This item was handmade and is 100% made in America - since these are handmade there are no two alike - the picture does not do the item justice - its made from sheep's wool - this item is made completely by a process called felting - you take a ball of wool and jab (poke) it over and over again with a needle, this needle has barbs on it - these barbs matt's the wool - it littery takes thousands and thousands of jabs to make one item - you just keep adding wool and jabbing to form the wool into the shape you wish - the more you jab the harder (tighter) the wool gets - it takes me about 30 to 40 hours to make one item

since this is made of wool and sometimes mohair, there is no refund or returns - i am very particular with my art work, this is part of the reason why it takes so many hours to make an item and i will not send you anything that i would not be proud to have displayed in my own home - you will be happy with your purchase, i promise

i also accept the making of commissioned pieces waterpathotmail- if you have a pet, a animal or fish that you would like to have made, please email me, thank you
