Remember this is hand knotted Tibetan carpet which the way of making carpet came from Tibet .

The tiger is known to symbolize unconditional confidence and disciplined awareness, kindness, and modesty.  The tiger is associated with confidence, dominance over the forest, and the air element.  Many Tibetans believe that meditating on a tiger carpet will protect you from negativity and enhance your meditation practice.

Large rug measures approximately 6 fit by 3 fit'.  Each tiger carpet is made with 100% Tibetan  wool that features a higher lanolin content, allowing water to bead on the surface.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                It's not hard to see why a hand knotted rug costs more than a machine made or hand tufted rug, isn't it? Hand knotted  this same size took 18 days to ready weaving 8 hours a day but hand tufted take 16 hours to make one rug same size . The weaving labor alone is quite impressive. Then take into account the skills of the wool dyer and the rug designer, even the wool itself, especially if it is from the underbelly of the sheep (the finest quality wool). All told, when you purchase a hand knotted rug you are buying a work of hand made art - many times a unique one-of-a-kind piece of art. Worth every penny!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Please  make sure that rug is actually hand-knotted and not hand-tufted. Hand-tufted knots are made by machine so their lines are straight and standard and easy to detect. Hand-tufted rugs are not knotted but instead stitched. They will not last as long as a hand-knotted carpet, and they do not have the lasting value of a hand-knotted carpet. Hand-knotted rugs are done by hand so their rows of knots will vary in size as will the straightness of their lines.   Made in Nepal
