ANTIQUE 6" LONG SUGAR SHELL SERVING SPOON,
WITH GOLD WASH ON THE INSIDE OF THE BOWL ONLY,
FROM THE 1861 ISSUED AND DISCONTINUED
"GRECIAN" PATTERN NAME OF 900 COIN SILVER PURITY FLATWARE
MADE BY GORHAM SILVER, USA

IT IS PERSONALLY MONOGRAMMED,
TOTAL WEIGHT OF 20.5 GRAMS

It is monogrammed on the back handle with a nicely done Gothic letter R, otherwise, it shows light wear from use and storage, including minor surface marks and scratches.  It has been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine, is very clean, and is table ready.  It is straight, not bent, with no major issues at all.

It is hallmarked on the back of the handle PATENT 1861 and the 3 character lion, anchor and G hallmark for Gorham Silver, USA.  It is not marked with a metal purity, but it has been stone and acid tested and it confirms 90% silver content.

If you own an heirloom set of silver from this pattern, this is a great opportunity to add these to expand your set or fill missing holes you've been meaning to!  Even if you don't necessarily need these pieces, adding more adds extra resale value to your set if you ever choose to sell it, while being a great silver investment at the same time!  A great condition piece for being 160 years old now!
