War Against Crime, 11 issues in 2 volumes, and Crime Patrol, 10 issues in 2 volumes, featured stylish film-noir covers by Johnny Craig, plus interior stories by him, Feldstein, Howard Larsen, Henry G. Kiefer & several others.

In 1949, EC experimented with horror style stories & early attempts can also be found within.

The last two issues of each featured the first appearances of two of EC's Ghoulanatics,
The Crypt Keeper in Crime Patrol, with The Vault Keeper in War Against Crime.
