 DESCRIPTION:
In simply extraordinary shape. A crazy good vintage Hires Root Beer post WWII, mid-20th century wood box advertising crate, with just incredible, wonderfully opaque, saturated and vivid black ink stamped graphic iconography and intact tin edge reinforcing stacking strips. Produced in Gloucester, Massachusetts by the Merchant Box Company for Hires Root Beer, circa 1947-1962. It'd be asking a bit too much to ask for or worse yet, expect a now nearly 60 to 75 year old wood box soda crate to remain in much better condition than this, unless perhaps it was hermetically sealed in the Harry Houdini Museum, waiting for someone in the 21st century to open it with a key. Clearly stored away for all these years in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight, as the strong black ink of the wood box crate's sidewall, familiar stylized typography, is nearly undiminished and close to how it was originally constituted by the Gloucester box maker after the end of WWII. You won't find one better. An absolute killer. Wow and wow! Did I say wow?

CONDITION:
Very Good to Excellent overall vintage condition.
