Up for sale is a very rare and exceptionally fast Canon C mount TV lens, the TV-16 25mm f/0.78.

This lens's f/0.78 max aperture makes it among the fastest visual-spectrum lenses ever produced, allowing for the thinnest of DOF and maximum light gathering in dark situations (not to mention bragging rights among your photographer friends)!

This lens features the C TV/16mm screw mount, a popular mount among Super-16 digital shooters for its easy adaptation. Note, however, that the rear element of the lens extends quite far, which renders it potentially difficult to achieve infinity on sensors with thick protective glass, meaning unmodified it may be more useful as a closeup/portrait lens.

I have seen some references on the web to this lens being machined/modified to enable infinity focus on various cameras, but YMMV.

Excellent vintage condition with light to moderate handling wear. A few light coating marks. Otherwise scratch/haze/fungus free. Mechanics all work smoothly.
