Fresh from a Local Estate....

This is a Beautiful Large Antique Metal Hat Box Made in France used by Aristocrat ladies in the Late 1800s to protect their beautiful hats while traveling on Steamers and Trains.

I was told at the sale that her grandmother purchased it in England before moving to the US and used it for several Years to protect her doll collection pieces and dolls that she purchased.

This is a Stunning Antique Piece with All Original Finish and hardware.

The Outside finish is just beautiful done in a Rich Brown with tiny black wavy lines imitating wood grain giving a faux wood finish look.

The inside is just a nice blue color.

. It is a Oval shape with metal handle and latch that is closed with a padlock. It is Large approx. 10.5 in tall, almost 17 inches long and 15 inches wide at the center and would be a great conversation piece and focal point of any room.
