The German colonial empire was a set of overseas colonies that the German empire occupied at the end of the 19th century. The empire was then ruled by the Hohenzollern dynasty. The formation of the colonies began in 1884. The German colonial empire officially disappeared with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on January 10, 1919.

the 11 most important German colonists (pic 2).

Included are pictures of German-East Africa, German-Southwest Africa, Cameroon, Togo, Emperor Wilhelm Land, Bismarck Archipelago, The South Seas, Caroline and Marshal Islands, Solomon Islands, Samoa and Kiao-Chau, complete with all colored cigarette cards mounted correctly.
