GREECE 20 DRACHMAS NEW LETTERING 1982 OFFICIAL BANK OF GREECE ROLL OF 25 COINS KM# 133 PERICLES UNCIRCULATED BU SCARCE

 

Offered is a scarce official Bank of Greece thick paper roll of 20 drachmas 1982 (new lettering), KM# 133 (pictured). There are 25 brilliant uncirculated (BU) copper nickel coins in the roll. Obverse: portrait facing left of Pericles (ca. 495 – 429 BC), a prominent and influential statesman, orator, and general of Athens in the city’s Golden Age, his name in Greek on the left, engraver Th. Papagiannis. Reverse: Temple of Athena Nike in Acropolis surrounded by the inscription "ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ" (Republic of Greece) and the face value with new lettering (“drachmes”) below, engraver L. Orphanos. The roll weighs 279 grams (9.8 oz.). The roll pictured is the one you will receive so please examine all pictures carefully.
