Terry Jackson is an Indigenous wood-carver and artist who has practiced since the early 1970’s. Terry is fully versed in the visual language of the Northwest Coast art style. In the early 1970’s, Terry apprenticed with Tony Hunt at his studio in Victoria, BC. Terry’s major body of work has been crafted primarily in the medium of wood. His repertoire includes masks, bowls, panels, totem poles, prints, and paintings. In 1994, he began exploring and experimenting with the challenging medium of porcelain. This technique requires blending technical and artistic skills to produce his line of elegant bisque porcelain vases and bowls. The porcelain vases and bowls are signed.

This piece measures 9 1/4" x 7 3/4" x 3 3/4". Titled 'Promise', this vase depicts a blossom: a reminder of how every person has the ability to create good through positive intentions and promises. It is unglazed and not suitable to hold water. It is decorative.
