Subdecay Octasynth Octasynth

Description

The input guitar sound is converted into a square wave that unisons in 3 octaves, which is 2 octaves lower, 1 octave lower, and the same height as the original sound, and is output through a resonant filter.
It's like an old analog synthesizer or a broken synthesizer itself.
Due to the design change on the manufacturer side, the appearance design, color, etc. may change without notice. Please note.

Octasynth converts the input guitar sound into a square wave that unisons two octaves down, one octave down, and three octaves at the same height as the original sound, and outputs it through a resonant filter.
The tones that come out are like old analog synthesizers or broken synthesizers themselves.

Octasynth reacts differently depending on the guitar and play style.
It usually works best with front pickups.
For some guitars, you can reduce the high frequencies a bit, especially by using the front pickups.
Also, depending on your playstyle, this pedal can't be changed.
For example, if you play mute, you can play continuously from a funky bass sound to a continuous staccato.
Play the bass and you'll hear a dreamy filter sweep.

The Octasynth filter is controlled by the Depth knob and picking strength.
And as the sound decays, so does the movement of the filter.
The movement will be different depending on the setting and play style.

Octasynth consists of 100% analog circuits.
Octasynth is also monophonic.
Therefore, it always tracks only one note and does not support chords.
Therefore, when you play a power chord, it sometimes makes a ridiculous sound.
In the case of the 9th or diminished chord, the sound is not so broken, it sounds like water splashing.

Control
Octasynth's controls make it easy and quick to create sounds.

Blend: Adjusts the mix of 3 octave voices.
Turn it to the left to create a tone that is two octaves lower, and to the right to create a tone that is one octave lower, near the center two octaves lower, one octave lower, and three octaves that are the same pitch as the original sound.

Depth: Adjusts the filter range.
Turning it to the right increases the cutoff range (highest range) of the filter.
This control is a bit more difficult to control, especially when playing bass.
When set to the minimum, only sounds below the audible range are produced (that is, no sound is produced).
You need to turn it slightly to the right to make a sound.
This is to avoid making a sound when you are not playing the guitar.

Res: Adjusts the resonance feedback of the filter.
Turn to the right to increase the cutoff frequency of the filter.
When it is turned all the way to the right, the tone will be close to oscillation.

Level: Adjusts the volume.

Octasynth is optimized for electric guitars. Not recommended for instruments such as bass.

Octasynth can be used with 9-12V, center minus, 2.1mm bullet plug adapters.
We recommend using One Control EPA-2000.

Current draw is less than 10mA.
Input impedance-500K
Output impedance- varies depending on Level setting.
