Closet door ball catch is generally used on invisible doors where a latch is not used or needed.
The ball catch is mounted on the top of the interior door recessed in a hole drilled on the top surface.
The strike plate is mounted on the door jamb where the spring loaded ball will catch and hold the door closed.
The tug on the door will release the catch.

Step 1:
Position catch in center of the door edge. Mark and drill 11/14'' dimeter hole 1-2/11'' deep."
Step 2 :
Position catch in hole, mark screw holes and shape of plate. Remove catch, drill for screws and chisel plate. Secure with screws provide.
Step 3:
A. Locate strike on jamb to align with ball catch(curved edge facing out). Mark screw holes and shape of strike.
B. Drill for screws and chisel plate area. Mortise inverted catch section of strike. Secure with screws.
After installation:
A. Adjust ball clearance (if necessary) by turning threaded area
B. Adjust ball tension (if necessary) by turning slootted nut at point
