MB18P Master KEY BLANK

Fits some S and SL MERCEDES BENZ 1969-1979; fits some C, E, D models 1969-1976:

Puch G G-Class variants manufactured for Austrian, Swiss and Eastern European Markets

Code Series: NZ or HD 4001-7350

Important Fitment note:  Mercedes used 4 different types of master blanks on their vehicles 1969 to 1979.

This is the plastic-head version MB18P key. Check if your ignition key has one of the following part numbers stamped on it: M79S, MB18, HF18, MB35, or HU23.  If it has 2 small flat grooves along the RIGHT edge and one of these same part numbers, you can be sure its a match.  Keep in mind, they also used a MB15, MB16, and MB17 key during this time period so it needs to be exact.   See Pic #3 & #4 prior to purchase.   If you have no part numbers stamped on your current key, compare it closely to the pictures above as its grooves need to match EXACTLY both back and front.    Another clue that this is the right key is if your current working key or ignition bezel has a stamped key code on it starting with "NZ" or "HD" followed by a number between 4001 and 7350.  Late 1979 models may have switched to the S50HFP high security blank.  It is very different from the blanks used in the 1970's.  I stock that one in my store, as well as an all metal version of this key, the MB18.

See pictures #3 & 4 for other Mercedes Benz ignition keys from the same era to double check.  Please feel free to ask questions or send me pictures of your current keys for help in identifying the correct choice.  I would be happy to assist.

I am a collector who purchases vintage lots of keys. If you have anything special available, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks for looking and HAPPY MOTORING!
