An original pair of Youth Size 2 1/2, dark brown leather high top lace up boots shoes. NEW OLD NEVER WORN ACQUIRED AS DEADSTOCK FROM A SHOE STORE THAT WENT OUT OF BUSINESS IN THE EARLY 40S. This style is hard to give an exact date/era. Although they are usually known as Victorian, They can be as early as late Edwardian to late 30s. I am not sure if they are girls or boys. These are in excellent condition. There is a serial number on the inside along with 25 which is usually a size, 2 1/2 and the brand is "Playwelt". They measure 9" along the outside sole and they have a width of 3" at the widest part of the shoe.The leather is a bit stiff but that is the way they are made, overall I consider it to be very supple not dry and very wearable.
