As with most Annual Reports of the Smithsonian Institution, the Secretary/Board of Regents Reports (the first 154 pages in this case) are the least interesting portion of the book, and all of the interesting material is in the General Appendix which follows. There are about 21 topics in this section, but we're only going to list the ones that seem to be most interesting, and also illustrated. (There are 142 Plate Illustrations plues a number of text figures as well.) Remember, this was all from 1922.
