They have been taken directly from the mint tube with clean cotton gloves and placed into protective capsules. 

This is the seventh coin in the Silverback Gorilla series, with only 75,000 minted!

The front of the coin depicts a geometric gorilla standing on rocks with vines to the right and boulders to the left, with the text "1 OZ 999 SILVER" above, and "2016 CONGO SILVERBACK GORILLA" below. 

The back of the coin has a matte finish, with the text "REPUBLIQUE DU CONGO" on top, the Congolese coat of arms in the center, and "500 FRANCS CFA" below (Legal tender in Congo).
