Turf Type Perennial Rye Grass is a year round grass which has an advantage over the summer varieties as it will grow in every season. Commonly used in Sporting fields and School Ovals, Turf Type Perennial Rye is often sown in Winter and used as a support grass for the dormant summer varieties. It grows fast with germination taking place normally within 14 days. Once established the grass has an desirable rich green colour and soft texture which also lends it appeal to the home grower.  

It is an active Grass, which means its thirsty and requires regular mowing in the high season. That being said it is a consistent performer with high Wear & Tear resilience and impressive Repair factor, which is why it is often relied upon in numerous Professional Sporting Arena's and Honorable dubbed "TV Grass".

It also enjoys at least 4 hours of Sunlight each day.

Ideal uses include Sporting Ovals, Parks and Playgrounds, Backyards, Winter Landscaping and Golfing Fairways.

Establishment: Under ideal conditions, germination has occurred between 10 – 14 days. Full coverage may be attained in 30 - 60 days.

Sowing Rate: When sowing a new lawn, you should aim for a sowing rate of 3kg per 100m sq meters. Only use 2kg per 100m sq meters when looking to Oversow an existing lawn.
