The metal we use is real 925 sterling silver and we intentionally made this ring in solid and its weight is much heavier than the normal ones so that it will last for life. Plating for this ring is rhodium which is much thicker than normal as well to prevent tarnishing . If the ring is gold plated, we use real 18K gold or real 18K rose gold for rose gold plated engagement rings. The design is beautiful with strong prongs to hold stone tightly and each part of the ring was made with care. This ring is ideal for proposal, promise, engagement and wedding. I. Tips to protect your rhodium plated jewellery:
As plating (rhodium plating, gold plating or rose gold plating) protect our jewellery, make them look better and prevent silver from tarnishing, to protect our jewellery with rhodium plating worn away and keep the colour last longer we need to keep our plated jewellery away from hard surfaces and heat. Any little crash or smash/ scratches will cause the plated layer to be fade away faster, so if we do physical work please take them off and store them in a cotton or velvet lined jewellery box, or wrap them in a soft material to prevent scratches.
I have read someone used nail polish liquid to coat her gold plated ring to protect the gold layer to keep it fade away, she shared this idea and I think it’s a good idea too.
If your jewellery products are dirty, put them into lightly warm water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid then while holding your ring in fingers gently shake it in this water a few times then rinse it with clean water then let it dried itself, don’t wipe your plated jewellery with anything such as polishing clothes…etc. This will help to eliminate any dirt or dust from accumulating on the surface and wearing away the gold layer as well as keep stones look clean and new.
