Handcrafted European Glass Ornaments ---- the art of creating a beautiful mouthblown glass ornament in a figural mold, silvering the inside for luminosity and hand painting with fine detail has been the tradition and unique work of European crafts people in Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia and Italy since the mid 1800's.  These ornaments first made their way into American homes after F. W. Woolworth's reluctant purchase for his Lancaster, Pennsylvania store in 1880.  He was surprised to sell out in only one day!  By 1939, Woolworth's stores had sold 500 million European glass ornaments!  In the last forty years, sales in the U.S. have been well represented by Whitehurst, Inge-glas,  Radko and German exporters. You will love the quality and reasonable prices of these fine vintage ornaments!
