Up for consideration is a miniature porcelain cup and saucer produced in Germany by Helena Wolfsohn in the 1880s. The saucer is 2.75" in diameter and 5/8" tall; the cup is a mere 1.25" high. The set is hand painted in the Dresden Watteau style. The rim has pink pattern and gold highlights; both the cup and saucer have scenes of lovers. The set is trimmed with lacy gilding. This cup and saucer was a display piece or collector’s item. Both the cup and saucer are in very good condition; bottom edge of saucer feel slightly rough (flea bites).  Color on both pieces is strong with little wear.
