SRB2-PChal Pro

This enhanced SRB which can conform to a wide range of different Playseat Challenge configurations where the wheel plate may be moved forward or back and used at different angles. It can also be adjusted to offer greater knee room.

It also includes the upgraded Plate Clamp Pro which is better suited for larger wheel bases (e.g. Fanatec Podium). The Plate Clamp Pro uses carbon fibre filled plastic and offers increased stiffness compared to the standard clamp and is simpler to use day to day.

We know the main reason to have the Playseat Challenge is its ability to collapse up and store neatly out the way... we don't affect that at all.

The braces easily swing out of the way with the loosening of one Allen key bolt

The main brace strut is made of 3D printed Carbon Fibre reinforced plastic, which has an awesome grey finish, are incredibly strong and light. WIN WIN WIN...

The black clamps that fit around the Challenge's tubes and onto the steering wheel plate, are made of 3D printed Recycled plastic. The tube clamps are designed to be quickly released to allow for the strut to be swung out of the way when you want to store your rig, pivoting from the wheel plate clamps.

WPPR1-PChal (Gen2)

We find the Playseat Challenge is a great gaming chair but some of our customers find this pivot can be loose affecting the fidelity of the steering. So we took on the task of designing and making reinforcement without compromising ease of use.

It took us a bit of time to come up with something that was easy to use and worked well, but we did it. The reinforcement allows you to use your Playseat Challenge exactly as before. As you close the Wheel Plate down into the driving position, the shape of the reinforcement forces the inner and outer rings together, helping to strengthen the pivot and reduce unwanted movement.

If you find an up and down movement of the wheel is affecting the accuracy of your driving have a look to see where the movement is coming from. Check the Pivot (see pictures) for play or slight looseness while driving – or lift the wheel up and down from outside the rig to see.

What does it improve?

The reinforcement reduces the vertical free movement at the pivot so it is difficult or impossible to detect.

Can I still rotate the wheel frame to get into the seat?

Yes – the adjustable design is tight when the seat is ready for use but automatically frees up as the pivot is rotated for access.
