Vintage uniform button bearing the Michigan state seal. Back is marked:

           " Raymold & Whitlock N.Y. "

I was unable to find any conclusive information about the back mark. A button site (that really looks like they know what they are doing) says this mark is post Civil War. I found no mention of it in Tice's book. I have all 3 volumes by VanCourt (Railroad, Transit, and Maritime) and there was no mention of this backmark in these either.

Coat button measures just over 3/4 inches across. Cuff measures just under 5/8.

Pair is in good used condition. The fronts both have some tarnish as is visible in the photo. Front of larger button may be pushed in a little Pair is dirty but otherwise pretty good. You will be bidding on the exact buttons in the photos for each listing.

Take a good look at the photos as pair is being sold as is.
