To mark the publication in Athens of Korres' book on the ancient quarries and masonry techniques of the first marble Parthenon, the Hellenic Foundation in London mounted an exhibition of Korres' drawings and this is the catalogue of that exhibition which, in addition to reproducing his drawings in large format, also describes in great detail the quarrying, transportation and construction of the Parthenon.
