Of course, the SL-M9100-I Mono Shifter has all the advantages of the innovative I-Spec EV mounting, namely an extended position and rotation adjustment within the range increased by the integrated mounting of the shift and brake levers. The two rubber contact surfaces provide more grip and the 4-way bearing ensures smooth, long-lasting function. Last but not least, the Instant Release technology guarantees immediate release of the shift cable. This is polymer coated and is supplied just like the outer shell.

Rapidfire Plus Mono
With the Rapidfire Plus Mono, a single lever is enough to shift up and down. It supports double front shifting with natural finger positioning and intuitive shifting movements without releasing the firm grip on the handlebars. And the 2-way release functionality enables instant pull and push movements.
2-WayRelease
All newer Rapidfire Plus shift levers are equipped with 2-way release. This means that the shift cable is released by pulling with your index finger or pressing with your thumb.
Instant Release
The instant release switching process replaces the two-step click and release process. With Instant Release, the cable is released immediately when the lever is pressed, thus achieving the fastest possible gear change. Regardless of whether you want to change gears up with a top-normal rear derailleur or change gears down with a low-normal rear derailleur, a faster shift is always a better shift.
I-Spec EV
With the I-Spec EV construction, the Shimano shift lever can be mounted directly on the brake lever, eliminating the need for a clamp and significantly increasing the adjustment range. With I-Spec EV, 14 mm are available for longitudinal adjustment and 60° for rotational adjustment, so that every rider can create a setup that suits their individual anatomy or preferences. I-Spec EV shift handles are not compatible with older I-Spec systems.
