The Olympus Leakage Tester is used for testing endoscopes to ensure that they are waterproof. During leakage testing, a continuous series of air bubbles emerging from a location on the endoscope indicates a leak at that location. This means that water will be able to penetrate the inside of the endoscope, which could damage the equipment. If you locate a leak, remove the endoscope from the water immediately and ship the scope in for fluid removal of the internal components in order to preserve the components and ensure their is no contamination to future patients!!!
