Up for sale is a 70's Ampeg SVT tube bass amplifier head, freshly serviced from an authorized Ampeg service center with a matched sextet of 6550 Sovtek Power Tubes. Ampeg debuted the Super Vacuum Tube "SVT" amplifier in the summer of ‘69 at the Chicago N.A.M.M. convention. This amp was a milestone design, pushing 300 watts of all-tube power specifically geared for larger venues, cementing its place in the live world as the go-to backline stage rig. A vintage USA-made example with black line cosmetics, this SVT has been serviced and maintained to play its best, with rich, authoritative, articulate low end, ample warmth, and distinctly smooth Ampeg tone.

     This SVT has all new tubes, 6 matched 6550 Sovtek Power Tubes, JJ 12DW7 preamp tubes, Tungsol 12AX7 tube, Electro-Harmonix 12BH7 tubes and a 6C4 tube. The amp has been serviced as needed, with all voltages and capacitors checked to ensure a reliable, gig-worthy platform. The bias is set and ready to go.
