This auction is for a vintage Jimmy Nelson Ventriloquist Doll made by Juro Novelty Co. New York, N.Y. called Danny O'Day. Doll is in nice condition although some clothes soiling mostly the scarf. Could use a little light facial clean up. Face is bright and colorful and unfaded as are the clothes. Has a tiny gold vintage safety pin at the bottom of the shirt holding the scarf in place. I do believe that is original and serves it's purpose. Has the white shoes and khaki pants. Plaid shirt is very colorful and unfaded. Mouth stays open. Original string in place but not opening mouth. Does open and shut manually. Comes with a pamphlet shown with 7 steps to learning ventriloquism although it has holes and is worn. Would make a great gift for the ventriloquist collector or beginner in your household. Very rare to find with the box. I have seen them for $300+ in worse shape than this one!
