Overall, this item is in good used condition considering it is a 20 year old toy with plastic moving parts. Most of the functions are working. All sounds work. The rotating function at the center of the castle is working.
Here are the details of its imperfections:
- The sounds all work, but the levitating feather sound effect can only activate by pressing the purple tab in the back of the right-side foldout.
- The levitating feather does not activate properly by moving the broom.
- The ghost on the spinning wall on the top right portion of the castle sometimes gets stuck when you activate it using the book slider, but is easily remedied by moving the wall manually with your fingers.
- The bottom center portion all functions correctly with one small exception: the table with the meals appearing and disappearing does not align properly after spinning.
- The top portion of the castle that pops up, sometimes sticks. I tested it as I typed this description and it's working right now.
- The top of the castle has some mild warping as shown in the pictures.
- There is some mild warping on the fold out flaps on the back of the castle.
