DESCRIPTION:
Pristine, near immaculate and incredibly close to how it was originally constituted. American antique, early yellow ware bowls, those having been realized in the late 19th to early 20th century, especially this large, at 11 1/2" in diameter, don't come any cleaner than this. As if unused and tucked away high up on a shelf in a pantry for over a century. Yes, miracles do happen. Extraordinarily well-preserved, with tripod firing pin bruises on its baseplate (evidence of it being antique) as well as some normal, expected crazing and crackling of the viscous, highly reflective glaze (also an indication this near immaculate yellow ware bowl, is in fact an antique piece and not a later facsimile.) This is the real thing and in simply amazing, fantastic overall antique condition. At 11 1/2" in diameter, it could easily be an everyday salad bowl or used as a large mixing bowl for pancake or waffle batter. It's devoid of any flea-bites to its edges, hairline cracks, ceramic loss, stains, scuff or surface abrasions. With great reflective, glossy, pristine surfaces. Museum quality. Very fine. 140 years old and it still looks like this? Extraordinary.

CONDITION:
Very Good to Excellent overall antique condition.
