DESCRIPTIONDESCRIPTION: Here is a late 19th century Italian glazed pottery Commedia del arte figure of Pulcinella. Dressed in a white trousers with a white and orange lined smock with a matching hat. He also has a brown belt, black shoes and a mauve umbrella with black decoration. The figure is standing on a relief moulded base with yellow and orange painted scrolls and leaf type decoration. The figure is unmarked.
Pulcinella as all commedia del arte characters changed their names over the years. He cheerfully would lie to save himself and sell his mother for money.

SIZE: The figure measures 7 inches high. Weighs 160 g before packing.

CONDITION: There is a little glaze loss to the tip of his nose. Otherwise in good condition.
