All our professional casting molds are made exclusively of polyurethane rubber, for an excellent reproduction of the fake stone.

The polyurethane rubber will allow you to use the mold very easily, does not require the use of release liquids, as it is self-releasing thanks to its flexibility, and will allow you to create numerous square meters, without the mold undergoing signs of wear. .

How to make the dough for the casting mold.

The preparation of the mixture for the molds depends on the destination, internal or external, of the tiles made.
In an indoor place, simply mix rapid chalk powder or alabaster with water, to create a consistency similar to a toothpaste paste.
The times for removing the tile from its mold depend on the humidity of the environment in which it will be made, in any case generally within 20-30 minutes.
On the other hand, if the place will be external, it will have to be mixed with water, cement powder and sand, generally with a ratio of 1: 3, but the proportions are also variable depending on the humidity of the sand used.
In this case, the time required to remove the tile from its mold will be longer, in any case within 12/18 hours, depending on the external temperature.
Alternatively, it is possible to use premixed products, used in construction to create screeds.

The coloring

It is advisable to color the plaster or cement tile after its realization, using iron oxide powders, of at least 2 different shades, to be applied on the tile after the realization (on our e-commerce you will find a wide assortment).
Finally, we always recommend using a transparent silicone paint, to further protect the work performed, also facilitating the cleaning operations of the tile.
