This is a replacement for the original BB  Magazine loader spring on the Crosman 760. This fits the original variant and other models that used part number 760-036. The auction is for the spring only. The replacement spring is in the first two photo.  The third and fourth photo shows both the spring and the  BB Magazine Loader Button which the spring attaches to for identification purposes (the button is not included). The fifth and sixth photo shows the spring in place in the rifle for identification purposes (the rifle is not included). The pictures are to help you decide if this part will help you. The loader button and rifle are not included. Just the spring.

I have used these springs in my own 760's and they fit perfectly and function just like the original. Check out the comments in my feedback section. Several people have bought these springs and everyone has been pleased with their performance and fit. The picture makes the spring look like it is a heavier gauge than it actually is. In reality the wire used to make the spring is a bit thinner than it appears in the photo making it closer to the original gauge.

UPDATE: I did some research and it appears that the 760-036 spring was used from 1966 thru 1977.  I can't find a great reference of all the 760 variants but the Crosman website has parts lists for most of the 760s. I believe this spring is a viable replacement for the following self cocking models:
--Variant 1  1966-1970 wood stock and wood forearm (corncob) (I can confirmed a fit on this variant)
--Variant 2  1971-1974 styrene stock and forearm
--Variant 3  1974-1975 styrene stock and wood forearm
--Variant 4  1975-1977 ABS Stock and forearm
I do not think the 760-036 spring was used after 1977.

Shipping is free via USPS first class mail in a regular business envelope.  The shippers charge a lot for sending anything with a tracking number. I just don't think the risk/reward is there for such a low cost item. However,  if you want me to send this to you via some method that includes a tracking number and/or insurance, I am happy to ship by any method you would like as long as you are willing to cover the extra cost. Just email me and we can work something out.
