Propagation:

Please note: Once you have your cuttings, it’s important to let them dry out a little bit before you do anything else. You’ll want to leave the cuttings alone for one to three days, so they can scab over (although by the time your cuttings have reached you in the post this should've already happened).

If the cuttings don't get a chance to scab over, they’ll absorb too much water the first time you water them, and drown.

It’s totally fine if the cuttings start to shrivel up a little!

Use a 50/50 mix of general purpose compost & grit/sand, or a specialised succulent/cacti mix in a well-drained pot or container (succulents will not tolerate being water-logged)

Simply push the cutting a little way into the compost

Cover the compost (not the cutting) with grit

Water well

Place in a sunny position indoors or in a greenhouse, this is not necessary but if left outside the cuttings will take longer to establish
