Organic Italian Steel Cut Farro Cooking Instructions

Compared to Organic Whole Grain Farro, our Organic Italian Steel Cut Farro is super simple and quick-cooking. To prepare this grain on the stovetop, follow these instructions:

• Give Farro a good rinse

• Transfer to a medium saucepan and pour 4 parts of water per 1 part of grain

• Bring to a boil then lower the heat

• Simmer covered until tender (12-15 mins)

• Drain any excess water and serve!

If you are using a pressure cooker:

• Fill a pot with 2 parts of water and 1 part of washed Farro

• Cook on high pressure for 2 mins

• Do not open your pressure cooker and let the grain sit for 10 mins

• Enjoy!

You can add a pinch of salt and some herbs during cooking for enhanced flavor.
