OK, Here is the Deal: We just obtained almost 5000 vintage marbles and I am at a complete loss! The information that we were given is that these marbles are from 1955 and earlier, but I know that some are later and many are MUCH Earlier! Some are hand-made and some are machine made. This has to be the most confusing hobby on the planet! If you were to take 1000 baby frogs all born from the same mommy and daddy frogs, throw them in a box, and try to tell the difference from each other......it would be easier than trying to figure out this Marble thing!!! I have a friend who happens to be a marble collector who has given me his opinion on a few of these items, but when researching them on the internet, even his opinions are suspect at best. I will be listing these marbles periodically and any identification assistance that other e-bayers can give will be greatly appreciated. Please do not give me advice on pricing. If you feel that our starting prices are too high....DON'T BID! If you feel that our prices are too low....BID AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT! I know that there are a small percentage of you who will send ridiculous comments that are a waste of time. I would encourage those persons to keep their comments to themselves as I have a tendency (due to my advanced years and progressive state of grumpiness) to block those individuals from ever bidding on my items.
